• Confusion, strength and persuasiveness: Vasconcelos' art fascinates with its artistic presentation of traditionally female handicraft techniques.
• In 2005, Vasconcelos was represented at the Venice Biennale for the first time, and in 2013 she represented Portugal with the installation “Trafaria Praia” in the first floating national pavilion.
• Major solo exhibitions of the Portuguese artist have been shown at Versailles Palace, Paris (2012), the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao (2018) and the Uffizi Gallery, Florence (2023).
