Nahelandschaft. 1938.
Watercolor and pencil.
Lower right signed and dated. Inscribed "Von Langenlonsheim aus" on the reverse. On Ingres d'Arches MBM laid paper (with watermark). 48 x 62.6 cm (18.8 x 24.6 in), the full sheet.

• Depictions of an Idylic nature have an important rank in the artist's oeuvre.

The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner and Mr Hans Geissler for the kind support in cataloging this lot.
