The color woodcut was intended as a bonus to the unpublished de-luxe edition of Gustav Schiefler's catalogue raisonné "Die Graphik Ernst Ludwig Kirchners", vol. II, Berlin 1931. [CH].
• Splendid print in three colors.
• One of just nine copies, of which twoi are museum-owned: in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main.
• This is the first time in 26 years that a copy of this rare woodcut is offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
• In their prints the artists of the "Brücke" realized their novel art concept and revived the then quite unpopular medium.
